Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Shotpipe (the "Service") operated by Dani Giesen, sole proprietor, registered in the Netherlands ("we", "us", "Shotpipe"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Shotpipe helps YouTube creators turn video ideas into production briefs, weekly content plans, and pattern analyses. The Service is provided on a subscription basis and accessed via shotpipe.app.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
We use Supabase (Auth) to authenticate you. Your password is stored hashed by Supabase; we never see it in plain text.
3. Subscription, trial, and billing
- New accounts get a 7-day free trial. No payment card is required to start the trial.
- To continue using paid features after the trial, you subscribe to the Creator plan ($29 per month) via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring monthly charges to your payment method until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for unused time.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the issue is resolved. We will email the address on file before any suspension.
- Prices are shown excluding any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction. Stripe Tax determines and collects applicable VAT.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
- Submit content you do not have the rights to analyse (for example, copyrighted videos owned by others where analysis is prohibited).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape at high volume, or bypass rate limits.
- Resell or sublicense the Service to third parties without our written permission.
- Use the Service to generate content that infringes intellectual property, defames any person, or violates Anthropic's or YouTube's terms of service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
5. Your content and ownership
You retain all rights to the YouTube channels, video ideas, scripts, and reference materials you submit. By submitting them you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process them solely to operate the Service for you (for example: sending an idea to our AI provider to generate a brief).
AI-generated outputs (briefs, plans, reports) are yours to use. We do not claim ownership of them. We do not train AI models on your data; Anthropic's Claude API operates with zero data retention for our requests.
6. AI outputs
Outputs are produced by large language models and may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or suggestions that are not appropriate for your channel. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before publishing or acting on them. The Service is an assistant, not a replacement for editorial judgement.
7. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers: Anthropic (AI), Supabase (auth + database), Stripe (billing), Resend (transactional email), Fly.io (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS), and the YouTube Data and Analytics APIs. Outages or changes at these providers may temporarily affect the Service.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. We may schedule or perform unscheduled maintenance. We are not liable for losses arising from temporary unavailability.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost revenue.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will email you and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept the new Terms.
11. Termination
You may close your account from Settings → Delete account at any time. We may terminate or suspend accounts that breach these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. On termination, your generated data is deleted within 30 days except where retention is required by law.
12. Law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
